How do I schedule an in-person consultation?

Reach out to us via frogandmantis@gmail.com and let us know that you'd like to meet in-person! We operate out of Downtown Fredericksburg, and often shedule meetings with artists at Original Grinds, where Frog and Mantis has a display wall and storefront. We are generally able to meet any place that is most comfortable for you. Times and location will be discussed in further detail in a one-on-one email. During these meetings, you can view the paper types in person, show us your art or hand it over for scanning services, or have any questions you may have about the process directly answered. Consultations are especially important for those who wish to do custom sizing, packaging, or have any other unusual specifications that they'd like to make.
What is the availability for in-person consultations?

Mon-Fri 3PM-8PM. Weekends are available on a case-by-case basis. Reach out to us via frogandmantis@gmail.com so we can schedule a time and place that is most convenient!
Do you have a physical storefront?

Yes, we have a wall that functions as a storefront in Original Grinds at 615 Caroline St, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Artist's that have gotten prints with us rent out spots on this wall to sell their work off of. However, our direct operations and printmaking do not occur at this location. We utilize this space for consultations and offering vendor space to artists.
What is the Frog and Mantis print wall?

The print wall is a full wall within Original Grinds that functions as a storefront for local artists to sell their prints. We rent out individual spaces to artists for a monthly cost, and charge only 10% commission for items sold off of the wall. If you'd like to display/sell your work with us on the print wall, contact us via frogandmantis@gmail.com, and we will let you know if any spaces are available as well as well as answer any further questions you may have about the wall!
How do I get on the print wall?

When they are available, we offer up spaces on a first-come first-serve basis. Please reach out to us via frogandmantis@gmail.com to show interest, and we will add you to the waitlist.
Do you do shipping?

The short answer: Yes! While shipping is available (shipping price would be paid by the artist), we prefer pick-ups and drop-offs over shipping. As a local business, we do most of our business dealings within a 50 mile radius. We most often meet in the middle with artists at coffee shops or any other place of comfort. We can also drop off prints directly to homes and studios. The best method is determined during the consultation stage of your ordering process.
How long do orders take?

Orders can take anywhere from 5-10 days, depending on the variety and number of services being utilized (ie. scans, custom sizing, paper type, 100+ prints in order). Please, communicate with us any deadlines/timeframes that you'd like your order to be completed within. This helps us better organize the active orders that we are working on. We do not always complete orders on a first-come-first serve basis. Providing us direct timeframes will allow you to get your prints on time! We can do rush orders, which adds an additonal 15% to your order. This is for orders that need to be complete within 4 days or less than the day the order was placed.
Do you do test prints?

Yes! By request, we create small test prints to ensure that color and clarity are accurate before completeing the full print order. We can do several rounds of test prints to ensure that you're happy with the result before printing. Please let us know that you would like to do test prints before starting your order.
What sizes do you offer/print on?

These are the standard sizes that we offer: 5x7 in 8x10 in 11x14 in 13 x 19 in 16 x 20 in 18 x 24 in - outsourced 20 x 30 in - outsourced 24 x 36 in - outsourced These standard sizes are more for price referencing and convenience for clients. We can do all sizes in between those (a popular one being 12x12in), we just use those standard framing sizes as price reference points to simplify the order process. Do you offer print packaging?

The simple answer is yes! We offer fitted propylene sleeves for all of our print sizes and fitted recycled chipboard as a backing for all sizes 16x20in and under.
